My beautiful wife, Morgan Fairchild. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

by Anonymousreply 3May 2, 2019 7:03 AM

The boob job she had back then were really bad. Really unnatural looking - very round and pointy.

by Anonymousreply 5May 2, 2019 7:12 AM

She looked high maintenance.

by Anonymousreply 6May 2, 2019 7:12 AM

They don't look big enough to be implants

by Anonymousreply 7May 2, 2019 7:13 AM

"I'll see you in Hell!"... a great moment from Flamingo Road

by Anonymousreply 8May 2, 2019 7:15 AM

Didn't like her at first because my mom watched Search for Tomorrow and her character Jennifer was a psycho bitch

by Anonymousreply 10May 2, 2019 7:16 AM

One of her first jobs was as Faye dunaway's photo double during location filming of Bonnie and Clyde.

The Seduction was on heavy rotation on late-night cable in the early 80s.

by Anonymousreply 13May 2, 2019 7:26 AM

I loved her. She seemed so glamourous.

by Anonymousreply 14May 2, 2019 7:37 AM

The epitome and 80's glamour and excess. Love her.

by Anonymousreply 16May 2, 2019 10:48 AM

Long rumored to be a lesbian. But very private about her life.

by Anonymousreply 17May 2, 2019 11:00 AM

Now on Food Network's "Worst Cooks in America - Celebrity Edition".

by Anonymousreply 18May 2, 2019 11:04 AM

What the hell? From her Wiki page.

"During the early 1970s, Fairchild was kidnapped and held against her will on two separate occasions."

by Anonymousreply 19May 2, 2019 11:04 AM

She was on the cover of every issue of TV Guide in 1984.

I knew her first husband, Jack Calmes. I gathered from what little he said about her that she wasn't exactly the sweetest peach in the basket.

by Anonymousreply 21May 2, 2019 11:20 AM

I remember seeing her on tee vee as a kid and thinking she looked more like a Barbie doll than any human I had ever seen. Hair, eyes, nose, mouth, the way she dressed was all Barbie.

Gorgeous woman, hard to believe she's 60.

by Anonymousreply 31May 5, 2019 6:19 AM

60? Shouldn't she be closer to 70 now? And that face work just makes her look fat like a chipmunk.

by Anonymousreply 32May 5, 2019 6:24 AM

If she’s 60 I’m the Queen of England.

by Anonymousreply 34May 5, 2019 6:34 AM

She was one of the most beautiful women on television. Loved her on Search for Tomorrow and Flamingo Road. The Seduction was a great cheesy movie.

I wonder if she took all the fillers out of her face how she would look? I know she has gained some weight too.

by Anonymousreply 36May 5, 2019 6:43 AM

She was born in 1950. She is 69.

by Anonymousreply 37May 5, 2019 6:46 AM

R35 she looks beautiful! Better in that pic.

by Anonymousreply 38May 5, 2019 6:57 AM

Bullshit, don't. Be an ass, she's 60. I can accept that you're not a fan, but it's shitty to defame her in such a manner.

by Anonymousreply 39May 5, 2019 6:58 AM

Loved her in Paper Dolls.

by Anonymousreply 40May 5, 2019 7:06 AM

R40, Yes! She was brilliant, she wrote, directed, and produced most of the episodes...she was a powerhouse.

by Anonymousreply 41May 5, 2019 7:11 AM

I remember wondering if she had even an ounce of actual talent, or was just a “professional “ with one speed.

Paper thin ability.

by Anonymousreply 42May 5, 2019 7:12 AM

That was then. This is now, bitches.

Sort of the Jayne Mansfield of her day, but seems to have kept things together. More striking than beautiful, but she owned her look.

by Anonymousreply 44May 5, 2019 7:27 AM

I remember seeing her years ago on a date with Johnny Carson. Looked like a cheap doll.

by Anonymousreply 45May 5, 2019 7:28 AM

R35 thank you for posting that! Parker, Cheryl, and Morgan all look wonderful and happy!

by Anonymousreply 48May 5, 2019 8:48 AM

She was just on Days of Our Lives in 2017 as Angelica Deveraux

by Anonymousreply 49May 5, 2019 9:07 AM

Hasn't Morgan been a good friend of The Gays?

by Anonymousreply 50May 5, 2019 9:44 AM

She tries to look expensive but always looks cheap. Like Ivana Trump or Joan Collins.

I think she’s really a lesbeen.

by Anonymousreply 51May 5, 2019 11:35 AM

[quote]Hasn't Morgan been a good friend of The Gays?

The best.

by Anonymousreply 52May 5, 2019 11:36 AM

Some of you need to check yourself about Miss Fairchild and show a little respect.

Morgan was the FIRST and for a while ONLY celebrity that made a noise about the 80s AIDS crisis, having been aware of and concerned about the health of gay men since the first reportage in 1979 of a rare cancer affecting only gay men, pre "GRIDS".

She became a highly publicized AIDS activist and appeared on numerous network news programs talking about HIV awareness and safe sex. She testified before a Congressional committee, lobbied for AIDS funding and worked with then Surgeon General with C. Everett Koop. She was the Hollywood face of AIDS for a long time, because other celebrities wouldn’t touch it.

She also starred in the AIDS education and prevention video Safe Sex for Men and Women. In addition, she's a member of the Entertainment Industry’s AIDS Task Force and has lead several other fundraising projects to fight the disease.

She played Sandra Bernhard's girlfriend "Marla" on "Roseanne" further leading to increased depiction and acceptance of gays and lesbians on t.v. and has appeared in numerous gay related shows.

With her history and gay bona fides do some of you actually think she would be "ashamed" to admit she was bi or a lesbian?

She's a staunch ally and seems to have always been....AND she was Jane Fonda's stand in during the filming of "Barbarella", which is beyond cool.

She's a drop dead gorgeous bitch and a very kind, compassionate LADY.

by Anonymousreply 53May 5, 2019 11:40 AM

Oh for fuck's sake, any biographical source you can find will tell you that she's 69. And she probably shaved a couple of years off from that. She's probably early 70s.

by Anonymousreply 55May 5, 2019 12:22 PM

R43 She looks embalmed now.

by Anonymousreply 56May 5, 2019 12:40 PM

The idiot constantly claiming she's 60 is just a provocateur. He knows she's older than 60. Let's not engage.

by Anonymousreply 57May 5, 2019 1:06 PM

R53 thank you for that. I love Morgan Fairchild.

by Anonymousreply 58May 5, 2019 1:29 PM

I know you want stuff on M.F. of the 80's but just had to add that in the 90's she was in the short lived soap, The City. It was kind of a revamped Loving. Some of the main characters left Corinth for Soho. How do I know this shit. God, I've wasted my life.

by Anonymousreply 59May 5, 2019 1:30 PM

This guy really dislikes her. Epic takedown.

I admire her. She’s a very intelligent and compassionate woman; an AIDS activist from the beginning. She was entertaining with her beautiful rich bitch roles in 1980s TV.

by Anonymousreply 64May 5, 2019 4:05 PM

I met her several times at the Gap at Highland Park Village in Dallas in 1992 and 1993. She was very nice.

by Anonymousreply 65May 5, 2019 4:10 PM

Didn't she play the role of Madison Hildebrand on Million Dollar Listing: LA during the season when he was away?

by Anonymousreply 66May 5, 2019 4:22 PM

She looks absolutely ancient and doddering on "Wrost Cooks in America" on the Food Network. Tune in tonight and see for yourself.

It doesn't seem possible that people can change so much with age, but Father Time is one cruel bitch.

I get all my politics news from Morgan Fairchild (and DL). I follow her on twitter. ( I don't follow DL though - are we even on twitter?)

[quote] Very nice, smart lady. Super cool

Yes. Very well informed. Intelligent. Compassionate as someone also said

by Anonymousreply 68May 5, 2019 4:29 PM

[quote]It doesn't seem possible that people can change so much with age, but Father Time is one cruel bitch.

It's fighting the aging process that makes most people look even older.

by Anonymousreply 69May 5, 2019 4:36 PM

Yes she’s very liberal and very interested in politics. She constantly tweets about the politics of the day.

I instantly liked her when I read that, as a girl, she wanted to be a paleontologist. So did I and I was amazed that there was another person out there who did too. (This was long before Jurassic Park.)

by Anonymousreply 70May 5, 2019 4:36 PM

As others have mentioned, she's tremendous in the original "The Initiation of Sarah." It was a made-for-tv movie in 1978, but at some point when things went puritanical, they started blurring out important scenes that emphasized her freakishly round implants.

by Anonymousreply 71May 5, 2019 4:44 PM

She's also very outspoken on animal rights.

Regardless what you think about the appearance of a 69-year-old woman, she could still pull in a good amount of straight dick of all ages.

by Anonymousreply 72May 5, 2019 5:04 PM

No one wants her blown out vag now.

by Anonymousreply 74May 5, 2019 5:30 PM

R74 written by a straight man, no doubt.

by Anonymousreply 75May 5, 2019 5:35 PM

I’ve only seen her in two things: Dallas and Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.

by Anonymousreply 76May 5, 2019 5:37 PM

She was fucking John Kerry prior to his marrying Teresa Heinz.

by Anonymousreply 77May 5, 2019 5:40 PM

I remember her as being the best Jenna on Dallas. Why they hired that wooden plank of an actress Pricilla Presley to play Jenna in the later seasons is beyond me. They should have stuck with Morgan. She was awesome on Flamingo Road, too. As a young gayling, I looked forward to her machinations every week as Constance.

As other posters noted, she was a gay ally when it wasn't cool to be one. She was an advocate for AIDS/HIV prevention and education when it wasn't cool to do that. She deserves our admiration. Her plastic surgery, though--yeesh!

by Anonymousreply 80May 5, 2019 6:08 PM

I never thought Morgan was attractive. It was her fake nose and tits that ruined her look. She had nice eyes and that's about it. Donna Mills was much prettier to me in that" Blonde Ice Queen" sort of way.

I always liked Morgan, especially since finding out she's a politically active liberal. And so stunningly beautiful, truly breathtaking. I think Morgan had more potential as a comic actress than she ever got a chance to show.

by Anonymousreply 83May 5, 2019 8:24 PM

I always liked her. Not the biggest range, but she's still working to this day, so that's more than you can say for many of her contemporaries. The Seduction is coming to Blu-Ray this month and I'm exited. Morgan and Andrew Stevens in their prime and the film is gorgeously shot.

by Anonymousreply 84May 5, 2019 11:42 PM

I exited my pants at the news, r84.

by Anonymousreply 85May 5, 2019 11:44 PM

Is anyone gonna say anything about Joan Van Ark's picture in that link? I literally shrieked when I saw her. It looks like she'd only done 1/4th of her makeup when her handler grabbed her out of her hotel room and shoved her into her convention chair.

Catherine O'Hara was hilarious playing her on SCTV. She would pout and extend her lower lip when she spoke, and would pivot to face whichever camera was on no matter how unnatural it was.

by Anonymousreply 96May 6, 2019 4:50 PM

I loved the Christina Raines interview. Surprising to hear that the only people she didn’t like on the show were Morgan and Michael Filerman. Christina was a very natural actress while Morgan tended for the soap opera over the top stuff

R90 ITA, that's how I was watching Driving Miss Daisy...I was watching the credits roll at the end thinking, 'How did I miss her?'

by Anonymousreply 98May 6, 2019 7:43 PM

R96 I think you're remembering the brilliant Catherine O'Hara playing "Lola Heatherton."

by Anonymousreply 99May 6, 2019 9:09 PM

Morgan Fairchild was in the 1980 Made for TV movie "The Memory of Eva Ryker." The movie also starred Natalie Wood and was very good. I will never forget one particular scene as it was made a year before Natalie Wood's death.

Natalie played Eva Ryker, the mother of Fairchild's character. In a flashback the movie showed Eva Ryker's death. She was on a ship that was torpedoed, the film showed her body floating face down in sea water in her cabin. It was a riveting scene made horrifying by Wood's death by drowning the following year. I remember reading she was uncomfortable with the scene because she had a fear of drowning.

You never see that movie anywhere since Wood's death. I've always wondered if it's been shelved out of respect to Natalie Wood. Any else remember it?

One of 3 boys growing up in the late 70's and early 80's. When each of us would turn 13, my mother would wrap up girly magazines and posters, as well as a box of tissues, and that would be our birthday gift. So my brother got the Debby Harry package, I got Farrah Fawcett, and youngest brother got Molly Ringwald.

by Anonymousreply 102May 25, 2019 7:01 AM

I remember in the mid 802s when she was carjacked in the valley. White Jag.

by Anonymousreply 104May 25, 2019 7:19 AM

In the late 70s, she originated and NAILED the role of Jenna Wade on Dallas. I can't believe they didn't try to keep her.

Loved her on Flamingo Road. Constance Weldon. SUCH a bitch!

Racine was smart and savvy and sexy on Paper Dolls.

Oddly, her character of Jordan was a bit of a departure. Not her best role on what was sometimes the best prime time soap.

I remember in the eighties she just kept turning up everywhere - magazine covers, on talk shows - but I always thought she was a very pretty woman who was more famous for being famous than anything she actually did. I mean - she never lasted in anything much that was on my radar - and seemed to be in B and C grade stuff - mostly flops.

And her prettiness was of the blandest sort. As someone said - a Barbie doll look - devoid of any character. Just a generic, blonde playboy bunny thing going on. Though she did come across as smarter than that - and very pleasant.

The thing I remember the most about her was a really stipid faux news article about her in Spy or National Lampoon or something - declaring that Morgan Fairchild was a pothead. It had accompanying photos of her - well, a model supposed to be her - having put a big metal saucepan over her head for some reason - but the pot got stuck there - so she was now adjusting to living her new life... it was really stupid - but really funny too. Had pictures of her preparing to go out to a red carpet event - dressed to the nines - with her stylists buffing up the stainless steel pot lovingly so it would shine In front of the cameras... just dumb - but I'll always think of her as Morgan Fairchild - the pothead

I have heard she is very nice. I remember some years back she televised a tour of her home ,which was not that large at all. In fact I was surprised how small and not luxurious. She said she loves to buy things at flea markets and antique shops and she had all of these antique decorative items through out her home. She didn't have outstanding antiques ,but they were very charming pieces. I love that she pointed out she went to flea markets and bought various antique things for her home. I get a down to earth kind of vibe from her. She seemed like she was saying, this is me and this what I love end of story. No bull.

Why hasn't Morgan Fairchild, Donna Mills, various other tv actresses from the 60s, 70s, and 80s haven't written their autobiographies? or at least why isn't there at least any biographies written on these ladies? They might have some interesting things they have encountered in their careers and their journeys through their lives. Sometimes autobiographies and/ or autobiographies of people who were not major movie stars can be gems of interesting information.

by Anonymousreply 144June 11, 2019 1:47 PM

"The Initiation of Sarah," an old camp favorite of mine, had both Morgans of the time--Fairchild and Brittany. Years after its initial television release, the censors had Morgan's remarkably fake implants BLURRED out in the scene where she was flung into a fountain. BLURRED, I tell you.

As I said, she is perfectly adequate in her acting and she has never given a performance where she has embarrassed herself. But, concurrently, she's never given a performance where she has really stood out and demonstrated an unexpected nuance or gesture that was not thoroughly predictable. There's absolutely no depth to her acting. She's a celebrity who is famous for being famous.

Has she been in the legitimate theatre?

If that awful performance of Believe was any indication, I can't even imagine of Morgan handled the score of Gentleman Prefer Blondes. Yes, it's written for a tiny range like Carol Channing, but I don't think she hit one right note in that Believe performance. Must have been one awkward evening at the theater.

Oh god ... just the idea of Morgan Fairchild having nothing better to do than a role associated with Marilyn Monroe is pathetic.

Move ON!

The only woman I ever had a crush on !

She was interviewed by Joan Collins for Joan's book "My Friend's Secrets" Fairchild came across as smart and knowledgeable and with a scientific interest in ,and knowledge of, cosmetic products. Well, it is her business....looking good. She knew about which ingredients did what to the skin . Will always respect her for her support of lgbt rights and Aids issues back in the day.

With Morgan, anal is always on the menu.

What ever happened to the beautiful glamorous women of tv/film from the 80s: Morgan Fairchild, Morgan Brittany, Connie Sellecca, etc?

by Anonymousreply 161June 14, 2019 6:53 AM

Best hair of the 1980s surely?

by Anonymousreply 162June 14, 2019 7:25 AM

Wasn't it Morgan who first coined the phrase, 'Oooh, Mama like!' after a hot guy in a speedo walked by her on one of her millions of failed tv series from the '80s?

R161 - they all got old. It was thirty or more years ago. They ain't babes anymore. Tho some from that era have agedcreasinably well...

Seem to remember reading somewhere that Morgan Brittany - so beautiful in a Vivien Leigh kinda way - is actually very conservative politically and a big republican supporter nowadays. Urgh!

It's sobering to think that the early 80s will be FORTY YEARS AGO very soon.

FORTY.

I know it's not yesterday but I didn't think it was quite that long ago.

Morgan Brittany is a Tea Party Hag and she hates Obama. Fuck her.

by Anonymousreply 167June 21, 2019 9:42 PM

It's strange that so many former castmates seem to hate her. I do recall hearing that she took forever in hair and makeup and was constantly demanding touch ups, sometimes causing delays. I don't think Erik Estrada liked her in Honeyboy either because she failed to recognize he was the beefcake star and she was an accessory instead of her being the main attraction.

Morgan was a guest on MSNBC's A. M. Joy yesterday morning. She now bills herself as Actor, Author, Speaker.

Her face looked rubberized. She should avoid any open flames.

She has sharted on the dicks of the men in your wildest fantasies.
