Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch fans were left scratching their heads during season 3 when the Ollingers uncovered a liquid metal on the show. Ten years ago, Duane Ollinger purchased a ranch in Utah in the hopes of uncovering gold on the land. Fast-forward to today, and the Discovery Channel star and his team are still looking for gold. But, they’ve also come across some real mysteries including blind frogs living in caves, and an ancient box in a flooded cavern.
Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch season 3 kicked off on November 15. Already, Duane and his son, Chad Ollinger, and Head of Security Charlie Snider, are off to a flying start making discoveries across 160 acres of land.
The team encountered a mysterious liquid metal during the show which can be seen in its fluid form in the palm of a Discovery star’s hand.
The metal seen on the show is a chemical compound called gallium.
During season 2, more of the same liquid metal was found and investigated on the show.
Blind Frog Ranch’s gallium
Charlie, Duane, and co can be seen handling gold coins during Mystery Blind Frog Ranch season 3.
But precious metals aren’t the only ones they’re finding as they discover rocks containing gallium on the land.
According to Live Science, gallium is “a soft, silvery metal used primarily in electronic circuits, semiconductors and light-emitting diodes (LEDs).”
When it comes to where the liquid metal is found, it’s reportedly discovered in “trace amounts” in “various compounds, including zinc ores and bauxite.”
Fans’ ‘strong link’ theory
Avid Blind Frog Ranch fans are convinced that the discovery of liquid metal on the land means there’s a direct link to another famous ranch.
One person tweeted via X (Twitter): “I believe there is Iridium & Gallium in soil at Skinwalker it was found on Uintah Reservation at Blind Frog Ranch.”

The two ranches are both located in Utah in the USA. Skinwalker Ranch is in Utah’s Uinta Basin.
