Sean Hickey Obituary, Death – On Thursday, May 5, 2011, Sean M. Hickey, who resided in Melrose, passed away unexpectedly. He had only 41 years under his belt. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Merrimac College in 1992 after graduating from Pope John High School in 1987. He was born in Everett on September 29, 1969, and he attended that school until 1990.
During his seventeen years of employment at Deltek Software of Woburn, he held the position of Vice President of Sales. Spending time with his family was something that Sean cherished, and his children were the center of his world. Additionally, he was a member of the National Little League Board of Directors, coached sports such as basketball and baseball, and enjoyed traveling, Cape Cod, and the beach whenever he could.
The devoted husband of Deana A. (Rosati) Hickey of Melrose, he was also the doting father of Cameron R., Regan C., and Coryn D. Hickey. He passed away in Melrose. His parents, Albert C. and Janice M. (Parella) Hickey, also of Melrose, hold him in the highest regard and love. William Pesce, the brother of Alyssa C. Pesce and her husband, is a loving and caring individual.
Relative of Anna Rosati’s son-in-law, He is the brother-in-law of Anthony Rosati and his wife Tanya, who reside in Winthrop; David Rosati and his wife Melissa, who are in North Reading; Donna Matarazzo and her husband Matthew, who reside in Revere; and Dean Rosati, who resides in Boston. Further survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, and a large number of close friends.
On Wednesday, May 11th, at eleven o’clock in the morning, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, which is located on Herbert Street in Melrose. Respectfully invited are members of the family, relatives, and friends. Melrose’s Wyoming Cemetery was chosen for the interment. There is no set schedule for visitors. As an alternative to sending flowers, memorial contributions can be given in Sean’s honor to the Hickey Children’s Fund, which can be sent to Eastern Bank at 441 Main Street, Melrose, Massachusetts 02176.
